Condemned 2 Win Publications is a Marxist-Leninist-Maoist Publisher that seeks to disseminate important texts to inform the practice and action of revolutionaries and progressives.

Germinal Publications is a publishing house founded in 2021. We seek to provide progressive, democratic and popular texts to the broadest audience.

The name, “Germinal Publications” comes from the famous work of Émile Zola, “Germinal”. And specifically, from its last sentence:

“Men were springing forth, a black avenging army, germinating slowly in the furrows, growing towards the harvests of the next century, and their germination would soon overturn the earth.”

As men spring forth, so do their ideas. By changing the world, we gain new knowledge of how to change it. From Nivose to Germinal, from ungerminated seeds to germinated ones, from not knowing to knowing – in the process of change, we also change ourselves.

So, when we limit these ideas to a superficially defined period, we are actually not only denying their developments, but their existences themselves. We would be replacing change, struggles, chaos, with ossification, peace, order. We would erect a great museum of seeds, sitting behind beautiful glass display cases and under spotlights, preserved, but never germinated.

But the objective laws do not change with the subjective will of one. The new seeds are germinating, made of pure steel, and no amount of glass display cases will stop them. And someone will comply with history’s demands. Afterall, like Marx said, freedom is the knowledge of necessity.

Editorial Line of Germinal Publications

Germinal Publications started as a small project of a few friends who wanted to see out-of-print and rare books in their hands. However, as it increasingly takes on a public significance, it has become necessary and timely to make the editorial line we have followed public. We hope our readers will get to know us better with this!

We are partisans of materialist dialectics. We believe that our progressivism constitutes not just science, but also ideology, which creates the basis of our initiative. We are firmly against neo-Kantianism and positivism. We believe in the existence of a class truth.

We are partisans of the will and of the myth. We are constructivists, “possessed and illuminated by a higher belief”.

We are progressive. This means we stand on the side of history, the side of its conscious creation by the proletariat.

We are popular and democratic. This means our books seek to address the needs and reality of the dominated people, which in our context is synonymous with the proletariat.

We hate, stamp and smash centrism, which confuses the worldview of the proletariat.

We especially reject liquidationism, and all products of the enemy’s thought in our ranks.

In publishing books, we hope the study and circulation of their thoughts will play a minor role in helping fellow workers, with both thinking and acting, in transforming ourselves into organic intellectuals, in outlining and developing the road forward, in the formulation and embodiment of heroic myths.
